(EHHI) is releasing a new report calling for tougher standards to regulate cellular technologies?especially for children and pregnant women. This report is the first part of a project researching the health effects of cell phone use. EHHI has reviewed hundreds of peer-reviewed studies that have examined the potential health threats associated with cellular device use, along with the regulatory standards that have been adopted by the U.S. and other nations. Parenting is difficult enough. And so is skill. And so is good. Putting them together is like doing Calculus while balancing yourself in the 50 meter- elevated pole. Good parenting skills.Some parents feel that they fail as parents when they compare themselves to other parents. This is not the way parenting goes. Like you, other parents have different sets of circumstances. Points of comparison are small like having kids with the same age as you have.On the other hand, parents feel that they are a failure when their kids grow up and become people they as parents like them to be. Step-Parenting and Discipline
A hard thing about being a step parent is the fact that your power and control only go so far. With my own child I know what I can do to resolve a situation. With the step kids there are always other factors to keep in mind. In many cases you have to discuss discipline with their dad and you may not be on the same page. Likewise the biological mother may not always agree with how you deal with a situation pertaining to her kids. Unfortunately to some extent she does have a say in the rules you create, even in your own home.
